In support of being a warm space, tea and coffee will be served in Honley Library every Tuesday afternoon between 1pm and 6pm.

This is open to all and you are welcome to join us anytime between 1pm and 6pm.

Suggested donation of 50p – this is optional so please don’t feel like you can’t attend if you are unable to donate.

The Knit and Natter session provides the opportunity for participants to meet new people, to catch up with friends and maybe learn a few new skills. The welcome is always friendly, and the activity offers a reason to get out and about to those who might otherwise not do so.
Tea and coffee is provided.

It is never too early to begin a lifelong love of reading and learning!!
Rhymes and songs help your baby’s language skills and are great building blocks for your baby’s future learning. Sharing time singing with your babies and toddlers is a fantastic way to bond and have fun together. It’s a great place to meet other families and you will always be made to feel supported and welcome. Come along and join in the fun!
Suitable for children from birth to three years.
Sessions are free, all resources are provided but small donations are welcomed towards refreshments.
No need to book, just come along!

Be as creative as you like. We will display the creations in the children’s area of the library. Lego bricks are provided, come and join in the fun!

(We also have a good selection of DUPLO for smaller children).

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Honley Library hosts a StoryTime for the under 5‘s every Friday at 2:00 pm. It lasts for just for half an hour with songs, rhymes and actions to keep them entertained. We also have an amazing collection of picture books specially selected to appeal to the very smallest child and our volunteers are here to support you with lots of tips and ideas for sharing stories with your little one right from birth.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
