Building work update: as work continues we can now see more of how the new extension will eventually look.
As the next stage approaches, we anticipate that the (hopefully) brief but necessary closure of the library will take place from Monday June 22nd 2026 until we are ready to welcome you back..
Saturday 20th June will be the last open day at Honley Library as the closure enables the building work breaks through into the existing space. Once the work has been completed there will be a lot of cleaning and restocking to do, so please bare with our fabulous team of volunteers (who have worked tirelessly for over three years to raise the funds, write bids, host fundraising events to get us this far).
Keep an eye out for updates. During the closure, you will not be able to order books to be collected at Honley.
