The new extension is taking shape; the next stage is its connection to the existing building.
This means considerable impact on the library, hence the need for its closure.
Saturday 20th June will be the last open day at Honley Library as the closure enables the building work to break through into the existing space.
Once the work is completed, the new skylight windows are to be installed. Whilst this will delay the re-opening, it is easier to keep the library closed for an extra couple of weeks and then do one big clean up.
Once all the work has been completed there will be a lot of cleaning and restocking to do, so please bare with our fabulous team of volunteers.
Keep an eye out for updates. During the closure, you will not be able to order books to be collected at Honley.
Please keep a look out for further information, we will keep you updated using posters, email and social media… including this website
